Maybe it’s because he is so used to dealing with political baggage in his professional life that Epstein wants to steer clear of complications at home. From 1995 to 2001, he was the chief minority counsel to the House Judiciary Committee during the proceedings to impeach President Bill Clinton. That was after serving, starting at age 27, as majority staff director of the House Government Operations Committee.
Now the 45-year-old Democratic strategist and talk show regular heads up the Law Media Group, a public relations firm that he founded in 2002. He often entertains corporate and political clients in his loft, taking advantage of its big open living space and rooftop terrace with an impressive panorama of the city. “I’ll have anywhere from four people to hundreds here,” Epstein says.
