Located off Dupont Circle, Kimpton‘s warm, intimate restaurant Firefly has introduced a “Beat the Clock” happy hour featuring progressively timed and priced drink specials. Chef Danny Bortnick‘s small plates are delicious, and all only $5 from 3-7 p.m. weekdays.

The small plates are the best of what Firefly has to offer: to die for Deviled Eggs with smoked paprika, caper powder, and garlic chips, or Grilled Red Wine Poached Octopus with avocado, olive aioli, and roasted olive gremolata. (Five dollars is a steal for quality octopus any way you look at it.

)

The Salt Roasted Baby Beets with Cherry Glen goat cheese, Sicilian pistachio, fig vinegar, and micro arugula is perfect with Mac ‘n Three Cheese, and you can get them both for only $10 and call it dinner.

The happy hour is available every Monday through Friday, starting at 3:00 p.m., when select drinks are $1; the pricing increases in increments of $1 every hour, maxing out at $4 by 7:00 p.m., and on Monday nights the pricing will stay at $4 until last call.

Stop by Firefly, located at 1310 New Hampshire Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20036. Call 202-861-1310 for more information.
