In just a few weeks, the “wedding of the century” will take place in London, England where the eyes of the world will witness His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales, K.G. exchange vows with his longtime love, Miss Catherine (Kate) Middleton. In celebration of this occasion, The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. is offering a unique Royal Wedding Experience for couples who seek an aristocratic celebration with the pomp and circumstance that surrounds a real-life royal wedding. To make this dream come true, the hotel has partnered with several luxury vendors so couples can marry in a fairytale setting at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. The couple will first meet with the hotel’s award-winning Wedding Specialist, Amal Zaari, who will orchestrate the most important day of their life, assisting with every detail to create a memorable, personalized experience for the betrothed to remember forever.

With the Royal Wedding Experience, a Princess Bride will find herself adorned with a custom-designed sapphire and diamond engagement ring (a replica of Kate’s ring that once belonged to Princess Diana) as well as a custom made, irreplaceable, diamond tiara; both courtesy of Washington D.C.’s premier jewelry story, Tiny Jewel Box. Family members and other guests will be invited to borrow from a collection of rare vintage jewels perfect for a Royal-themed wedding. All future Mr. and Mrs. that book the Royal Wedding Experience will also receive customized champagne flutes courtesy of Tiny Jewel Box and The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C. as an abiding thank you for their patronage and to wish them a lifetime of love and happiness together.

Brides will experience the ultimate luxury in having their couture gown custom made by world renowned designer and personal bridal expert Carine Krawiec, owner of the exclusive Carine’s Bridal Atelier. Carine will provide an initial private consultation to help guide the bride in selecting the perfect gown for her perfect day. She will personally accompany the bride to internationally-recognized designer fashion houses where together they will create an exclusive, custom-fitted, unique couture bridal gown. Carine’s detailed advice will cover all aspects of the bride’s silhouette, including colors and fabrics, as well as the veil, shoes, gloves, and undergarments. Additionally, she will assist with fittings, style the day of the wedding and share recommendations on how to care for this coveted gown before and after the wedding.

Saks Fifth Avenue Chevy Chase will feature the Royal Wedding Wardrobe that will include pieces from British Designers such as Alexander McQueen and Stella McCartney. The bride, groom, family members, and guests attending the wedding will have personal shopping sessions at Saks Fifth Avenue Chevy Chase to select the perfect head to toe look for all of the wedding celebrations, from the Rehearsal Dinner to Sunday Brunch.

Couples who purchase the Royal Wedding Experience will also benefit from the expert advice of Washington, D.C.’s own “Royal Watcher,” Susan Nixon, who will offer guidance on traditional British Royal wedding customs and traditions. Award winning Creative Director and Celebrity Stylist Cannon will also be available to offer styling tips for the bride and groom and members of their wedding party.

Specialists from Capital Décor & Events will artfully transform The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C.’s luxury ballroom into Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. From the moment wedding guests arrive they will be surrounded by luxurious décor fit for a Royal. A series of fresh flower Monet style arches will lead guests to the ceremony venue, which will be skillfully fashioned into the historic Westminster Abby.

After the ceremony and before the royal feast begins, the new husband and wife, along with their guests will enjoy cocktails in Kensington gardens, complete with hedges of boxwoods, topiary, and vintage trellis of garden roses along with stone fountains and slate walkways. Then, the ultimate dinner reception will commence in the remaining area of the ballroom which will have been transformed into one of the great halls of Buckingham Palace. The floor will be covered with large, classic red velvet rugs, the walls lined with velvet drapes and over-sized turn-of-the-century oil paintings. The chandeliers in the room will be engulfed with trailing fresh flowers and dripping crystals to create a magical essence. Capital Events & Décor will also custom design the royal floral package with a wedding bouquet and floral head pieces for the bridal party as well as fresh flowers for the wedding suite.

Washington, D.C. Entertainment Company, Entertainment Exchange, will present the vision of a royal wedding in America, borrowing traditions from Royal Family celebrations with added flair from the new world. Music during the nuptials will include the sound of a fanfare brass ensemble to wistfully escort the intended down the aisle. An operatic soloist will perform with a 17 piece orchestra and choir to entertain, elevate and delight. Guests will be invited to dinner with a royal march and fanfare by an orchestra with pieces by George Frederick Handel. A water music minuet will serenade guests while they find their seats. An overture from Handel will signal the first course and an allegro of music for the royal fireworks will signal the second course. In all, guests will be swept away to the royal palace for a night to remember forever.

The celebration will be heightened with a variety of Royal-themed customized wedding menus based on the couple’s personal style, family favorites, or ethnic traditions. The hotel’s Executive Chef David Serus specializes in creating masterful presentations that captivate guests’ palates and imaginations. The hotel’s new Executive Pastry Chef Daniel Mangione, a leading sugar and chocolate expert and wedding cake designer, will create a delicious and unforgettable wedding cake and selection of dessert items.

Wedding guests and the bridal party will sip Dom Pérignon, an exceptional wine that is as eternal as the memory of a special moment in time. Dom Pérignon enhances one of the best moments in life with – according to its founder Dom Pierre Pérignon – “the best wine in the world”. Most memorably, on July 29, 1981, magnums of Dom Pérignon Vintage 1961 were poured at the wedding of Lady Diana Spencer and Prince Charles – each label bore their names and the date of the most watched wedding in history, and now, Dom Pérignon brings this royal touch to weddings at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C.

The newlyweds will end their dream day with an overnight stay in The Royal Wedding Suite, with rose petal bath, monogrammed bath robes and pillow cases, and a box of Dom Perignon Wedding which includes 12 bottles of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2000 in an exquisite white lacquered box with a unique silver label personalized with the bride and groom’s names and the date of their nuptials.
