Harth Restaurant recently opened its doors in McLean serving a tasty menu of locally sourced food.

When Hilton Hotels moved its worldwide headquarters from Beverly Hills to Tyson’s Corner two years ago, the writing was on the wall for the Hilton Tysons Corner McLean to receive a massive makeover of its lobby and 458 rooms, and to add sleek new design elements and a hip new restaurant to compete with the changing tastes of consumers.
As part of its $40 million renovation, last week the hotel debuted a swank lobby redesign and remodeled rooms and a new restaurant. The over-the-top celebration with 600 guests included fireaters, stilt walkers and a thumping fashion show presented by neighbor Saks Fifth Avenue at Tysons Galleria.
Elements of the Hilton’s makeover will be featured in new and renovated Hilton properties over the next five years.
The big lobby with its intertwined tendrils hanging from above has an open floor plan, with bar, restaurant and “technology lounge” all flowing together as one. Contemporary furniture and earth tone decor has been added, as well as a huge bank of flat-panel TVs running down the side.
The new restaurant härth and its wood-burning oven has opened for the Tysons Corner technology and business crowd, offering contemporary American Farm-fresh comfort food.
Executive Chef Thomas Elder has developed a menu of Virginia farm fresh dishes, paired with a wine and beer list from some of the most celebrated names in the region. Peppers, herbs, and honey are so local they’re grown right outside the kitchen doors.
härth is located at 7920 Jones Branch Drive in McLean, VA . Call (703) 761-5131 for reservations.
