Lost Society opened its doors this week for the first time to friends and family of owners David Karim and Rich Vasey. Located in the heart of D.C.’s U Street Corridor, the Victorian-styled boutique steak house on 14th and U boasts is looking to attract foodies and nightlife carousers with vintage decor, rich colors, textures, plush fabrics … and a steaks. On the food side, Executive Chef Joseph Evans, formerly of Smith and Wollensky, has crafted a menu with signature steaks, healthy salads and other delectable dishes. Overall, the new establishment, trying to work itself into Washington D.C.’s busy steak house crowd, is looking to bring a very old school D.C. dining option (steak) to the new school hip 14th and U street crowd. Their site invites you to “taste, feel, listen, celebrate, and discover.”

The restaurant open its doors to the pubic tonight, Friday, July 1st, for happy hour and dinner at 5pm. DJ Gavin Holland will start at 10pm tonight.
