Miami Swim Week came and went this past week with many new artistic, daring styles that look chic by the pool but are asking for rather interesting tan lines or lacerations?  If you missed it, check out the swimsuit made of glass.

It looks as though Miami Swim Week wasn’t the only event to include recycled goods.  It has been revealed that contestants in the Miss England Pageant had to make themselves dresses out of recycled materials.

Speaking of  “creative” designs, Philip Treacy, milliner to many and creator of that infamous Princess Beatrice topper talks about many things including bringing on Lady Gaga as his intern.

This past week, eBay had an unfortunate glitch in their system that sold the “You Can’t Fake Fashion” bags two hours earlier than announced.  There are some very unhappy shoppers.

The article we posted a few months ago on YSL suing Christian Louboutin on use of red soles is apparently not over.  Even though Louboutin received a trademark on the use of this color for their soles, YSL is still charging on, saying no one can monopolize a color.

More collaborations are taking place and this time around, they span all age groups.  Jean Paul Gaultier’s new La Perla Swimsuit collection has debuted this week and it looks as though these styles are both sophisticated and seductive.

On the other end of the age spectrum, Gwen Stefani announced she will be designing baby clothes for Target through her Harajuku line.

This past week also brought a flurry of unique decadent luxury items for sale.  Dior debuted a jewelry line named, “Le Bal des Roses”, which are an homage to Dior himself.  These stunning pieces are ones to covet.

Also debuted this week: Missoni’s $500 candle.  This, of course, is in addition to the less expensive home décor and clothing lines that will sell at Target this fall.

Still not wowed?  Look out for the most expensive backpack ever sold by The Row.

Twitter seems to be aflutter these days with breaking fashion news, fashion tips and last minute sales.  If you’re one of those that tweets these daily, why not make your own fashion statement with the Twitter Hash Tag ring.

Last Olympics, Ralph Lauren was responsible for designing the gear.  Check out who has been tapped for the London games.

Speaking of outfitting a lot of people, Express has announced that it plans to break the Guinness Book of World Record for the Most People to Ever Model on a Catwalk… and then the real show will begin.

Also something to watch: Kanye West’s supposed line at New York Fashion Week.  Although it’s still a rumor, he isn’t denying it.
