You say tomato, I say tomahto and Ripple yells, “Food fight!” The Cleveland Park restaurant is celebrating Spain’s notorious La Tomatina festival – where participants pelt each other with crushed tomatoes – by hosting a five-course tomato-centric tasting dinner on Sunday August 31 at 7:30 p.m.

The evening begins with performance artists pelting each other with tomatoes on the patio (no word on whether guests can join in) before diners move inside for a five-course dinner featuring locally grown Virginia tomatoes ($65, not including tax and tip). A beverage pairing is available for an additional $30 per person, which will include a tomato water cocktail, a tomato beer (we swear we’re not making that up) and several tomato-free wines. Throughout the evening, the cult classic Attack of the Killer Tomatoes will be screened in the dining room. If all that isn’t enough tomato for you, then you should just move to Spain and be done with it.
