Washington is a city obsessed with being the best. From our politics to our food and sports, we want to come out on top. And that drive and motivation is certainly applied to our fitness regimes. With just about every fitness craze under the sun making its way to the district these days, it can be hard to choose where to direct our energies. But this summer, Flywheel, an indoor cycling brand which opened its largest location to date in Dupont on March 31, 2015, is making it easy for us.

From July 13July 26, Flywheel will launch a Two-Week Tune-Up challenge for Washingtonians looking to recharge and get toned for the summer. Participants in the get-fit-quick workout will be assigned a FLY Coach and treated to technique workshops, early booking privileges, as well as an exclusive 14-day meal plan from registered dietitians and co-founders of C&J Nutrition, Stephanie Clark and Willow Jarosh.

For two weeks, participants will engage in one of three class bundles of their choice: a Flywheel Tune-Up (indoor cycling, $260), a FlyBarre Tune-Up (total-body sculpting, $260), or a FlyPlus Tune-Up (a combo of both Flywheel and FlyBarre, $300). Both the Flywheel and FlyBarre Tune-Up packages consist of 5 classes per week for a total of 10 classes throughout the challenge, while the FlyPlus features 3 barre classes and 3 spin classes per week for a total of 12 classes. All three packages offer optional weigh-ins or measurements with your designated coach at the beginning and end of the challenge and participants who finish the challenge will receive a complimentary gift.“Given that Washington, D.C. is one of America’s healthiest cities, we understand the need to provide the most effective, results-driven workout,” said Flywheel co-founder Ruth Zukerman.

I have decided to take the FlyPlus challenge and will be blogging about my experience here, so you can follow along with my adventure. Tweet me at @washingtonlife if you have any questions, comments or advice. Cross your fingers for me guys!
