Ann Taylor Pairs with Vital Voices for Women’s History Month

New video celebrates women ahead of International Women’s Day.

A video created by Ann Taylor highlights the many roles of women.

Ann Taylor has partnered with Washington-based Vital Voices Global Partnership, a non-profit that invests in women leaders around the world, to fund the HERLead Fellowship for the sixth year in row. The fellowship, formerly known as the ANNpower Vital Voices Initiative, trains and mentors high school girls in the U.S. “to become the next generation of global trailblazers.”

In conjunction with the opening of the application process for the program (10th and 11th grade girls have from now until March 18 to apply), ANN Inc., the parent company of Ann Taylor, LOFT and Lou & Grey, also released a video commemorating women as employees, mothers, friends and protesters.

The video was created entirely by women and features an original score by singer-songwriter Meshell Ndegeocello, who was raised in D.C. and attended the Duke Ellington School for the Arts.
