Feature: Washington Represents at SXSW

Earlier this month, the Washington DC Economic Partnership (WDCEP), Events DC and the Mayor’s Office teamed up to host the WeDC House at in Austin for the 2nd year. The purpose of the WeDC House is to promote DC as a premier place to work, live, play and do business. , Corporate Director of Communications and Marketing at Events DC, gave us a behind the scenes look at the action packed four days.

DAY 1 - The WeDC House kicked off the day with drink-delivering robots by Starship Technologies and exhibitions from 20 top DC makers and creatives plus the 13 tech startups that joined the WeDC House to show why DC is the Capital of Inclusive Innovation. While browsing wares from Kicheko Goods jewelry and Balliwick t-shirts, guests enjoyed snacks from Gordy’s Pickles and cake pops from Baked by Yael.
