The menu includes a Sweet Heart Salad with fennel, celery, romaine hearts, black truffle slices, pears and passion fruit-honey vinaigrette; Ravioli Hearts made with Caciocavallo cheese filling, fresh tomato and basil salsa; and My Heart Says Chocolate – a decadent Italian-style chocolate mousse.

Iron Gate Restaurant

The “Tunnel of Love” returns with concoctions by Spirits Manager Nick Farrell and Chef Tony Chittum, drawing on the darkness and romance of Edgar Allen Poe. The food and cocktail menus have two options: heart vs. heartbreak. Carriageway bar decor complete with red, black and burgundy flowers, feathers and lights create an atmosphere that complements how your heart feels. Drink highlights include the Galentine’s Day, a tray of rye, amaro truffles and sparkling wine for two or more, ($20 per person) and the Telltale Heart, tequila, blood orange cello, habanero shrub, club soda and black heart ice cubes ($13). For food, follow your heart’s desire with grilled tangier oysters served with goat’s milk butter, Calabrian chili and pickled shallot ($15) or eat your heart out with squid ink gnocchetti sardi with yellow fin tuna crudo, bird chilies and garlic breadcrumbs ($15).

Blue Duck Tavern

Celebrate Cupid’s Day with a four-course prix fixe menu ($125 per person) by Executive Chef Troy Knapp and Chef de Cuisine Daniel Hoefler. Starter options include pan-seared foie gras with red currant and berry tea jelly, pistachio brioche powder, berries and almond tuille. For the entree, choose between New York prime rib, day boat scallops, farro risotto and pan-seared monkfish. Finish off the dinner with decadent dessert options: passion fruit custard, chocolate ganache or warm cherry cobbler.

Truffle Festival

Enjoy special Valentine’s Day menus at José Andrés’s China Chilcano, Oyamel. Zaytinya and Jaleo ($55 to $95 per person) and pair the meal with truffle specials. Check out the Palta Trufada with avocado, chicken salad, truffle vinaigrette and shaved truffles ($15 at China Chilcano) and the Truffleable made with Milagro tequila, El Silencio mezcal, granny smith apple water, truffle honey, lemon and apple cider vinegar ($14 at Oyamel).

Get all hot from the new contemporary Indian eatery’s four-course dinner for $78 per person. The feast includes Tandoori-style entrees like a grilled vegetable platter, sesame scallops and Chilean sea bass. The dinner includes mushrooms and olorosa cream with scallops, goat cheese and serrano ham; donostiarra style hake with purrusalda and piquillo hollandaise gratin; mojito sorbet; beef tenderloin and sweet potato gratin with vegetables and truffle demi-glace; and finally, chocolate coulant with berries and Tahitian vanilla ice cream.

Specials from Executive Chef Marc Hennessy range from casual to fancy. A $50 three-course prix fixe menu in the Tavern lets couples choose between Autumn Olive Farms Pork Country Pate with kumquat mostardo and brioche with spicy greens or a Chesapeake Greenhouse greens salad with fresh hearts of palm and Goot Essa Felsa Yehr cheese. The main course options include a dry-aged bottleneck steak with bleu potato croquettes and Nameko mushroom ragout or a grilled black bass with black truffle risotto and Meyer lemon preserves. To top it off, choose either a walnut brownie with bourbon caramel and vanilla ice cream or the Almond “Joy” Sundae with Marcona almonds, coconut gelato, and chocolate fudge sauce round out the meal. For a fancier affair, the a la carte specials at the steakhouse level include Royal Ossetra Caviar and Kennebec Potato chips with “Ranch” Crema for $90 and more even more specials.
