At the Four Seasons Hotel, guests of the October 20th Helen Hayes Auction were treated to a sumptuous meal by chef Douglas McNeill. In keeping with tradition, the live auction kicked off with an offer of pizza every month for a year from Faccia Luna. Napkins waved and hands flapped for the most contested bid item, the tour of Great Country Houses of England, but it was Matt Olson and wife Sally Rainey who placed the evening’s highest bid. The annual benefit auction is the primary funding source for The Helen Hayes Awards’ free educational and community service programs.
