Master Chorale of Washington Valentine's Day Benefit | "Candlelight, Wine & Song" This past Valentine’s Day, a select band of Washingtonians traded in the idea of an intimate evening withloved ones for a romantic charity benefit. For the twelfth year in a row, the Master Chorale ofWashington and its music director Donald McCullough presented their annual Valentine’s Day Benefit. Theevening featured an elegant dinner, dancing to the sounds of the Gene Donati Orchestra, and a performanceof romantic songs by the Master Chorale Chamber Singers. This year’s event added a special feature to itsregular line-up—a silent auction of items that ranged from theatre tickets to sumptuous din-ners to aFord Explorer. Proceeds from the evening sup-port the Master Chorale’s programs, which include choralmusic presentations and an outreach program with the D.C. Public Schools All City Honors Chorus.
