"Wish Upon a Star" Dinner Dance
Dreams Really Do Come True

The largest fundraiser ever held to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic recently tookplace at the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Thanks to an impressive showing of the local high tech crowd, the13th annual “Wish Upon a Star” Dinner Dance raised a record $575,000, which will help grant the wishes ofover 90 area children fighting life-threatening ill-nesses. Over 400 guests enjoyed cocktails, dining, dancing, entertainment, and a live auction, which boasted a unique twist on the concept of the charityauction. Instead of bidding on items for purchase and personal use, guests were given the opportunity tobid on helping fulfill each child’s individual wish. Needless to say, the bidding was just as successful.
