The power of nonviolent action is not widely understood except by scholars and intellectuals. Nonviolenceis a strategy for action, not inaction and a peaceful culture is not nessesarily a passive culture. PBSrecently aired the two-part documentary series, “A Force More Powerful” which explores how nonviolentpower has overcame oppression and authoitarian rule in different struggles throughout the world. Thescreening and party took place at The Great Hall in the National Building Museum. Political heavy-hittersand members from the dipomatic core attended.
