On June 29th, following cocktails at Katharine Graham’s Georgetown residence, guests strode up the redcarpet at the Loews Cineplex Uptown Theater for the Washington premiere screening of "The Perfect Storm"starring George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg. Warner Brothers Pictures and the Board of Trustees of WoodleyHouse hosted the event which benefited Woodley House, a nonprofit organization with a long tradition ofserving the mentally ill citizens of the D.C. metropolitan area. Since its beginnings in 1958, it hasevolved from a halfway house with 22 clients to a diversified system of programs in locations throughoutWashington, DC, serving as many as 200 clients a day. The benefit is part of an endowment campaign whichbegan over a year and a half ago, with an estimated goal of raising $1 million to ensure the House’scontinued residential and support services for years to come.
