An evening gala in recognition of Michael D. Eisner and The WaltDisney Company’s legacy of outstanding contributions to architecture,design, and planning took place at the National Building Museum on April5th. The Building Museum’s 2001 Honor Award was presented to Mr.Eisner for “the architecture of imagination.” More than 1,000 guests, includingABC News anchors, representatives from major league baseball, and leadingarchitects attended the fundraiser, which raised approximately $1 millionfor the Building Museum. Some past recipients of the annual award includeLady Bird Johnson, former Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan, J. Carter Brown, theRockefeller and Pritzker families, and IBM, among others.
