"Tranquil Space" celebrated the addition of two newstudios for yoga afficionados near Dupont Circle, with aninaugural open house on January 25. Creative directorKimberly Wilson founded Tranquil Space in 1999. Inthe larger studio space downstairs, over 200 yogis weregreeted by live kirtan instrumentals and chants. Guestsupstairs were treated to cupcakes supplied by "CakeLove,"and vegetarian hors d'oeuvres by Washingtonpost.com'sKim O'Donnel, while a tarot card reader helped yogisset intentions for the future year. A poetic vinyasa yogademonstration by Tranquil Space teachers closed out theevening's celebration.
