A barbecue benefiting the Children's Hearing and Speech Center took place at the residence and underthe patronage of the Ambassador of Italy and Mrs. Salleo. The Center was founded over 40 years ago andhelps children with communication disorders of various origins such as cerebral palsy, head and braininjury, Down's syndrome, and autism, among others. A few hundred guests attended the summer eveningsoiree which culminated in dancing under the stars and garden tent.
