Danke Schoen Wayne! The “Wayne Newton USO Show” starring
Jessica Simpson, Paul Rodriguez and the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders
(can we mention the words Dallas Cowboy in D.C.?) entertained guests
at the USO Gala at the Washington Hilton on October 10. The
event honored General Tommy R. Franks, U.S. Army (Ret.) and Ann-
Margret, along with USO Service Heroes Sergeant Noah Harrison,
Master Sergeant Richard W. Tibbets, Hospital Corpsman Chief Petty
Officer Matthew J. Bourgeois, (posthumously), Master Sergeant David
G. Wilkinson, and Aviation Survival Technician Petty Officer 2nd Class
Jason P. Quinn.
The private nonprofit relies on the generosity of individuals and corporations
to carry out its programs and services. Proceeds from the gala
will directly benefit the men and women of the U.S. military.
