Kennedy Center Honors Weekend
Celebrity Salute

Stars were bright and abundant at this year’s Kennedy Center Honors. A who’s who of Washington insiders joined the numerous Hollywood celebrities who came for the weekend of festivities honoring this year’s five winners: Carol Burnett, James Brown, Loretta Lynn, Itzhak Perlman and Mike Nichols. The winners were chosen for their lifetimes of work and dedication to the performing arts.

The Honors were bestowed upon the recipients at a pre-gala dinner hosted by Secretary of State Colin Powell. Sunday brunch was hosted by Honors producer George Stevens, Jr. and his wife Liz at the Westin Embassy Row Hotel.
