ETHICAL FASHION

From Paris to London and New York, Ethical Fashion is hitting the runway. And now Washington! D.C. Fashion Week featured the Fair Trade Fashion Show, organized by the World Bank's Fashion For Development, which "promotes organizations and retailers who use fashion to address issues of poverty by working with local producers in developing countries. It supports brands that adhere to fair trade practices, profit sharing and the use of environmentally friendly materials," says Priya Patel, who created the initiative. For more information and local vendors go to www.worldbank.org/y2ycommunity/f4d or www.dcfashionweek.org
