Infamous Foot-Long Hot Dogs from Serendipity 3

Local palates welcome acclaimed New York dining venue Serendipity 3 to Georgetown
By Ericha Richards

A chic take on a ballpark staple, Serendipity 3's infamous Foot-Long Hot Dog

After serving New Yorkers for over 50 years, the highly talked about dining venue, Serendipity 3, is gracing Washingtonians with its presence. Serendipity 3 recently opened on prime real estate at the corner of M and Wisconsin in the heart of  Georgetown. Primarily known for its New York and Las Vegas locations, Serendipity promises diners in the area an all-around serendipitous dining experience – pun intended– stretching from their décor to the extravagant dining options.

Ever-popular Frrrozen Hot Chocolate (yes, thats three R's)

Alongside infamous dishes such as the signature Frrrozen Hot Chocolate and the Foot-Long Hot Dog, of which over ten million have been sold, comes choices exclusive to the District, such as the President’s Lobster Pasta, Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, Pan Seared Virginia Striped Bass and the Red Velvet Sundae.  Although the quirky menu tends to be the main attraction on these restaurants, this location does not fail to bring a zany décor to visitors.

From an eight-foot-tall fiberglass statue of  President Abe Lincoln designed by A.J. Strasser to a historical clock from renowned Washington D.C. jeweler Galt & Bros, the venue pledges to wow Georgetowners and Washingtonians alike.

With Executive Chef Jason Ferrell and Pastry Chef Liz Barbato in the kitchen, restaurant go-ers at Serendipity 3 can take in an eccentric ambience while enjoying creative and unique dishes. Watch out New York, Washington is on the up-and-coming! And if those lines at Georgetown Cupcake are any indicator, Georgetown could use another sweet addition.
