My Washington: Miss Manners Judith Martin

The “Miss Manners” columnist highlights her favorite spots in D.C.

1. THE GERMAN DELI IN CAFÉ MOZART 1331 H Street NW where I was born. I take pride in showing this to friends, although I have to admit that at the time of my birth, this location was occupied by George Washington University Hospital.

I also used to be able to show off the theater where I had my first job as a teenager on New York Avenue (since replaced by a bland modern building). When I worked there as an usher, it was the Arena Stage.
