Corcoran Sunday Brunch: Turner to Cezanne

by Public User Archive

Inspired by the works of the French Impressionists, FoodArts has created a Sunday Brunch that reflects the passion of the French for culinary arts. Chef Andrew Holden has created a Sunday Brunch that is in honor of the works of art but are not historical renditions, and have been designed with contemporary eating and cooking in mind. The works of art inspired by the Davies Collection range from Romanticism exemplified by Turner, through the expressionist Post-impressionism of van Gogh spanning the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the exhibition contains masterworks of Realism, Naturalism, and Impressionism.

The Sunday Brunch Menu at the Corcoran will take diners from an early morning breakfast on the Seine, to lunch at a café in Paris, to afternoon tea, culminating with celebration of desserts featuring fine French pastries.
