Washington, D.C. – May 18, 2010 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, the 1st Annual Pretty Powerful Events Prom Charity Event will take place at Jin Asian Caribbean Soul Lounge to benefit the area’s inner city youth. The charity event will be hosted by (?), and include invited guests such as (?).
Based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, Pretty Powerful Events (PPE) is a multi-faceted entertainment enterprise. The company is owned and operated by four women, with a shared passion for luxury entertainment and a deep-seated commitment to social consciousness and charitable endeavors. Dedicated to service in our community, PPE is steadfast in its mission to foster social awareness and be at the forefront of charitable causes.
Coolidge Senior High School located at 6315 5th St. N.W., Washington, D.C., is the recipient of the 1st Annual Pretty Powerful Events Prom Charity Event. The goal of the charity event is to give these young men and women the opportunity to attend their Senior Prom, by dressing them in formal attire, which is not easily attainable for many youth living in Washington, D.C., due to financial circumstance. Without a charity event such as this, many of them will miss out on a defining memorable experience that should be available to all youth regardless of their financial constraints. By assisting them with the opportunity to attend their Senior Prom, we are helping to build positive self esteem, and provide an enjoyable fairy-tale like evening.
For the 1st Annual Pretty Powerful Events Prom Charity Event, supporters are asked to donate gently used formal attire for men and women, and make monetary donations, which will all benefit Coolidge SHS prom season 2010. Students will receive raffle tickets and all donated formal attire will be given away at Coolidge SHS on May 19, 2010. All monetary donations will be used to pay for prom tickets, which are $75 per student this year (recipients will be drawn by raffle). Finally, confirmed sponsors will donate services for hair and make-up, transportation, and dining, which will be used to “Cinderella” one lucky female, and “Prince Charming” one lucky male (recipients will be drawn by raffle).
