Celebrate the Fourth of July by floating like an astronaut in zero gravity
By Anna Jacoby
Fireworks on the 4th of July? So yesterday. Although the pyro in all of us does enjoy a tremendous pyrotechnics display on America’s big birthday bash, something about experiencing zero gravity in its honor sounds so much cooler.
That’s why the Zero Gravity Corporation (ZERO-G) is offering the public to climb aboard G-FORCE ONE to “experience independence from the law of gravity.”
July 4th, you too can be like Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin—and even Buzz Lightyear and Apollo 13‘s Tom Hanks—by experiencing the weightlessness of space. For those of us who thought that the moon bounce at our neighbor’s ninth birthday party just wasn’t enough when we were kids, having the opportunity to actually float like an astronaut without years of training or physically going to space (or the presence of screaming children in cone birthday hats), seems pretty ideal.
Participants will receive private transportation to and from Dulles International Airport, pre-flight training, flight suit and patch, professional photos of your zero gravity experience, branded ZERO-G gifts, and much more. This is a truly unique and exciting way to celebrate America’s Independence day.
