Passport to Style took place under a VIP tent in the middle of the bustling city of Chevy Chase, providing a perfect opportunity for guests, who were working in the surrounding areas, to stop by after work to enjoy a few glasses of wine that was provided by The Tasting Room Wine Bar & Shop, as well as the scrumptious mini lobster and crab cakes catered by The Capital Grille.
Attendees feasted their eyes on the fall fashion preview, created by Lydia Santangelo of TESstylist, to gain an insight of the hottest trends for the fall including what to wear, what accessories to add, and how to pull it all together. The fashion preview included pieces from Bloomingdale’s, Adolfo Dominiguez, Eileen Fisher, ILORI, and White House | Black Market. Models had their hair styled with Circe of Alexandria and makeup done with SEPHORA.
According to the fall fashion preview, the trends for this season include military influences, lace, boots, capes & ponchos, fur or faux, pant suits, feathers, vests, structured handbags, shades of green, flats with ornamentation, pins and patches, as well as pearls.
Along with the preview, various stations were set up around the VIP tent with a plethora of products for guests explore. Georgetown Cupcake sold their fabulous cupcakes and all proceeds went to Hope For Henry, an organization that provides entertainment and smiles for children who are fighting cancer. MAC Cosmetics was giving complimentary make-up applications and Circe Salon Spa treated guests with chakra massages, facial demos, and makeup advice! Between all the fun, attendees quenched their thirst with refreshing drinks from Vitamin Water. The Shops at Wisconsin Place also opened their doors to guests, providing personal stylists!
The evening was not just about fashion, beauty, and food… The Washington Humane Society’s Fashion for Paws was present during Passport to Style and so were their furry friends. Attendees were able to meet the animals who were up for adoption and learn about how they can support the Humane Society.
At the end of the exciting evening, guests were lucky enough to all receive wonderful Swag Bags containing gift certificates to P.F. Chang’s and The Daily Grille, discounts at Bloomingdale’s, as well as makeup samples and coupons. One lucky guest won an all expenses paid trip to Nantucket and others received shopping and pampering sprees!
