Shen Yun Performing Arts makes a stop in DC for an energetic dance and vocal show with live orchestra at The Kennedy Center.

The Chinese dance and music performance, Shen Yun is coming to The Kennedy Center from January 26-30th as part of their 20 country world tour. The performing arts company, which is independent from the current Chinese government, will draw from the legendary tales that define Chinese culture. Grand pageantry with singers and musicians will share their themes of virtue, compassion and courage and story-based dances. The group moves in synergetic, flowing patterns to a live orchestra that combines western and traditional Chinese instruments which includes the iconic drums of the 7th century Tang court.
