Every year, thousands of Latinos from across the country gather to participate in NCLR’s (National Council of La Raza) Conference and National Latino Family Expo, the largest gathering of some of the most prominent and influential voices in the Hispanic community.

This year’s conference, taking place at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in DC, will feature nearly 60 workshops and multiple town halls that address issues such as public policy-making, workforce development, health care and education. This year’s speakers will include Arianna Huffington, Eva Longoria and President Obama with a keynote address. NCLR’s National Latino Family Expo has a number of activities for individuals of all ages. While mom exercises away with Zumba instructors, dad can check out some of Toyota’s latest electric-hybrid models. There will also be free vision evaluations, a UPS interactive kids’ zone and as well as a Microsoft XBOX gaming area.

Last year’s event in San Antonio drew more than 4,000 registered guests to the conference and 40,000 attendees at the Expo. NCLR has been working with various sponsors, non-profits, agencies, social groups and media partners to make this year’s conference and expo a success.

NCLR’s Conference and Expo will be held from July 23 to 26. For more information, please call (202) 785-1670 or visit the NCLR website here.
