Bourbon Steak introduces a not-so-secret off-menu brew and a bite deal.
By Nevin Martell
Temperatures are high and the debate over the debt ceiling is blazing, so people are looking for some relief. To help beat the heat, Bourbon Steak is offering a “Dog Days of Summer” special – a Red Apron Butchery hot dog and a pint of DC Brau’s American pale ale, The Public, for only $7. The artisanal dry-aged beef and pork dog gets a hazy kick from coriander and smoked paprika, which goes nicely with the crisp and cool brewski. This tasty bargain isn’t listed on the menu, but you don’t need to learn a secret phrase to get it.
So, if you tell your server, “The golden bird speaks with a gilded tongue at midnight,” they’ll probably just look at you funny.
The deal is only available in the restaurant’s bar and lounge areas on Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.
m. until 11:00 p.m. and Sunday from 5:30 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
