South Moon Under and Refinery 29 host competition to decide best area stylist

Anyone who throws on a cute outfit and some matching accessories can claim themselves to be a fashionista. But it’s those who can style others and make them look runway-fabulous who South Moon Under and Refinery 29 are looking for.
The “Let’s Holiday!” competition kicks off Monday, November 28th and lasts through Wednesday, December 7th. Throughout this time, local bloggers with a passion for fashion can go into any local South Moon Under store location and style a holiday outfit using in-store merchandise – no purchase necessary. Local South Moon Under locations include the following:
- Clarendon– 2700 Clarendon Blvd., Arlington, Va. 22201
- The National Harbor– 100 American Way, National Harbor, Md. 20745
- Wildwood Center– 10247 Old Georgetown Rd., Bethesda, Md. 20814
- Washingtonian Center– 15 Grand Corner Ave., Gaithersburg, Md. 20878
- Fairfax Corner– 4206 Fairfax Corner West Ave., Fairfax, Va. 22030
- Reston– 11950 Market St., Reston, Va. 20191
- Annapolis Harbor Center– 2501 Solomons Island Rd., Annapolis, Md. 21401
After styling a holiday outfit that even the most fashionable celebrity icon (let’s say, Blake Lively?) would wear to a holiday soiree , competitors should snap some pics of the ensemble and submit it to fashion@southmoodunder.com no later than Wednesday, December 7th.
The total package to be submitted for the competition must include your full name, at least two photo images of the originally-styled outfit, and the URL to your fashion blog, and will be judged by a panel of local fashionistas, including the editor of Refinery29 DC Holly Thomas.
And forget what Ricky Bobby said about “if you ain’t first, you’re last.” In this competition, first, second and third place winners will be rewarded. The winners will be revealed at South Moon Under’s Clarendon location on Thursday, December 15th for the store’s “Let’s Holiday!” celebration event. First place winners will receive a $300 South Moon Under shopping spree, and second and third place winners will receive an item from the store.
You never know, if you place, you may just win the perfect outfit or clothing item you needed for upcoming holiday parties! For the competitors who don’t place first, second or third, all entries will be displayed in a digital look book on the South Moon Under and Refinery 29 websites.
