Maggie Haberman, White House correspondent, The New York Times
“One of the saving graces of the Trump era is the journalism it has inspired,” wrote David Remnick, editor of the New Yorker magazine. He was writing about Maggie Haberman, but it serves well as a general comment on Trump coverage since his arrival at the White House. Haberman’s reporting puts Trump under a microscope, examining him as if he were a specimen in a science laboratory. There is little warmth in her scrutiny, but Trump – a New Yorker – seems obsessed with Haberman and the Times.
