Earl and Amanda Stafford founded The Stafford Foundation, Inc.
“on the precepts of Jesus Christ, i.
e. to help others help themselves and live a life of dignity.” Since its inception, the foundation has committed more than million in funding to nonprofits that focus on education, health and wellness, and mission-based support.
Noteworthy among its commitments was the foundation’s People’s Inaugural Project that brought more than 400 disadvantaged men and women from across the nation to the inauguration of President Barack Obama. In collaboration with several other faith-based organizations, the Staffords have funded the building of churches, orphanages, schools and learning centers for women and children, a business center, and missionary training centers throughout Africa.
In addition, the Staffords also funded the Center for African American Media Arts in the recently opened National Museum of African American Art and Culture.
They truly believe the biblical saying, “to whom much is given, much is required.
