Do you have an anniversary coming up? Are you in need of a romantic weekend, perhaps a place to pop the question? The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner has the perfect answer in its partnership with RdV Vineyards.

From now until the end of the year, guests can book an “RdV Vineyards Experience” starting at $699 per night. The package includes overnight accommodations in a deluxe room or suite at the recently renovated Ritz-Tysons, round-trip Sedan transfer from the hotel to the vineyards where you are treated to an exclusive tour and blind tasting for two, complimentary valet parking at the hotel, daily breakfast for two, a welcome amenity upon arrival and a luxurious lunch for two.

We tried it for ourselves and are happy to report that it was as luxurious as advertised, beginning with the generous welcome amenity of cheese, charcuterie and wine. We recommend checking out the live jazz in Entyse Wine Bar & Lounge on the evening you arrive to spark the weekend of romance.

The next morning, after a delicious breakfast of pecan raisin brioche French toast and lump crab Eggs Benedict, we sauntered outside to a luxury Sedan with the doors open, seemingly awaiting our arrival. We marveled at the impeccable timing and service and settled in for a scenic drive through Virginia wine country. We were at Delaplane’s RdV Vineyards in under an hour. Once there, we meandered to the top of the hill where the stunning winery sits and were greeted with a glass of the winery’s rosé, available only onsite.

RdV stands out for its focus on the quality of its wine and the wine-making experience. After a tour of the property and explanation of the wines and history, we sat down in one of the winery’s stylish, light-filled tasting rooms for a blind tasting, where the popular Lost Mountain blend was a standout. The hospitable winery staff set us up on a terrace table overlooking the 16 acres of vines in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. When we were ready to leave, we simply called our Ritz-Carlton driver who was already on property ready to drive us back. If you’re looking for a turnkey solution to planning the perfect luxury weekend, this experience shows your partner the highest levels of thought while placing all the impeccable effort on the Ritz Carlton’s shoulders.
