With a glorious kaleidoscope of costumes, music, sets and fun, Disney’s ALADDIN, the hit Broadway musical, has arrived at National Theatre now through April 30. Join this “whole new world” of beloved characters from Disney’s 1992 animated hit that’s been freshly infused with the “Friend Like Me” Genie (played by Marcus Martin) who leads two show-stopping musical numbers with flash, glitz and humor. The set design is eye-popping and shimmering – especially the brightly gold cave of wonders. Aladdin (Adi Roy) and Jasmine (Senzel Ahmady) lift off on a magic carpet ride in a truly enchanting way. Seven new songs keep audiences immersed, but you can be sure “Arabian Nights” closes out the show with an adrenaline rush.
Aladdin the musical was originally nominated for five 2014 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. It was designed by Tony-winning scenic designer Bob Crowley, Tony-winning lighting designer Natasha Katz, Tony-winning costume designer Gregg Barnes, and sound designer Ken Travis.
