Washington’s most fashionable philanthropists gathered for an afternoon of purpose at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and to get a close look at the runway shows of four “Project Runway” designers. Zulema Griffin, Ra’mon Lawrence, Korto Momolu, and Jerell Scott displayed their post-reality television collections unique to their individual aesthetic and design, wowing the audience with both women’s and men’s RTW, cocktail dresses, and formal attire. The Bravo network introduced fashion guru’s and reality show buff’s to talented and innovative designers like Momolu and Scott in 2008, and since then it has been evident that all four designers can only continue to improve, edit and in the words of Tim Gunn, “make it work” in the fashion industry.
