About Tigerlily Foundation
Tigerlily Foundation (Tigerlily) was founded by a young survivor of breast cancer, Maimah Karmo, who like many younger women, had no idea that young women could get breast cancer. Tigerlily Foundation is one of the only nation-wide organizations providing full-lifecycle assistance to young women – before, during and after breast cancer – to include, education, financial assistance, meals, groceries, buddies, buddy bags and empowerment to young women affected by breast cancer.
What differentiates Tigerlily Foundation from other breast cancer foundations are three distinct qualities:
• They are solely focused on young women – 15 – 40.
• They are 100% service-oriented.
• They focus on lifestyle and prevention, empowering young women to be their own best advocates.
The Mission of Tigerlily Foundation is:
-To educate, advocate for, empower and provide hands-on services and support to young women (15-40), before, during and after breast cancer.
-To end isolation among young adult breast cancer survivors.
-To improve the quality of life for young adult breast cancer survivors by creating vigilant self-advocates.
-To promote ferociously fearless females.
