All eyes were on art at the launch of the Corcoran’s NOW at Night gallery.
Who doesn’t love an autumn night full of art, music, friends and food in the nation’s capital? On Friday, October 1 the Corcoran celebrated the launch of its new contemporary gallery, NOW at Night. Emerging artists shared their vivid exhibitions and guests danced and mingled to the beats of ESL Music DJs, sipped on art-inspired cocktails, and indulged in an exquisite desert buffet all while feasting their eyes on the permanent installations of modern and contemporary art. Guest such as Karin Tanabe, Eric Teeters, and Omar Popal, were talking about the exquisite collection late into the night. DC Native and brilliant artist, Chris Martin, was a special guest who showcased three of his 40-foot-high paintings. Proceeds of the event went to future NOW exhibitions, and did we mention an after-party? It was the perfect way to top off the evening!
