‘S Max Mara shows that coat trends are moving away from wool and towards a cozy, relaxed feel with puffy, quilted and cubed looks.

Across the east coast the streets from Fifth Avenue to M Street indicate this season’s winter wear must-have is the quilted, puffy coat. Wool coats are noticeably absent as the runways indicate the trend carrying into spring.
‘S Max Mara has set the bar by taking their favorite, winter ‘Cube’ coat to launch their first collection of the Spring Cube. Made from Siberian goose down for lightweight, superior thermal performance that still manages to be lightweight, the Cube coat combines a feeling a luxury with functionality.
The new Spring Cube collection launched in stores December 2010, comes in four styles (long robe, car coat, single breasted short robe, sweater) and 2 waistcoats (long and short). Spring jackets will come in 8 colors (chalk, light, colonial, army green, blue, red, pink, orange), will have a double belt, packaging cube for travel and storage and customizable accessories to mix and match these reversible jackets.
Also new to the collection are scarves, hoods, shrugs and gloves to complete the overall look.
‘S Max Mara Spring Cube coats are now available at Saks Fifth Avenue locations in the DC metro area.
