The insiders guide to D.C.’s top spots

Ever wonder what’s going on around D.C. that you DON’T know about?  The People’s List an event list started by a group of Hill staffers who combined weekly receptions and events in the District  is here to  solve that exact problem.

The weekly list of events has grown significantly in popularity and has managed to stay relatively secret as most of the information on the list is gathered through word of mouth.

Currently over 2,500 Hill staffers, people in the Administration and industry professionals across the city subscribe to the list.

As the title of the list suggests, their motivation has always been to provide people with information where they can go to connect with others, build professional and personal relationships, and gain access to the sometimes elusive and hierarchical political circles in Washington.

The People’s List soon built a partnership with Cloture Club, an online resource for those wanting to know what’s happening on Capitol Hill that features events, exclusive columns, restaurant reviews and job postings.

Having shared all the great events in the city through the list, they decided it was time to bring all the good people who receive this insider information to meet each other and share their experiences crossing the “velvet rope.
