Case Design/Remodeling Inc. teams with Homes for Our Troops and HomeStretch to provide a new home for a wounded veteran and remodeling for Virginia families.

Once living in a three-story house, Marine Sgt. Adam Kisielewski– who lost his left arm and right leg in an explosion in Iraq in 2005– found difficulty in helping his wife, Carrie, care for their young son, Evan. But thanks to Homes for Our Troops, Case Design/Remodeling Inc. and almost 200 volunteers, Sgt. Kisielewski can provide the help he desired.
Escorted by more than 60 members of the Frederick Police Department, the Patriot Guard Riders, the American Legion Riders and the Nam Knights (Adam serves as the chapter president), the Kisielewskis walked to their new easily-accessible one-story home that features automatic door openers, a wheelchair accessible kitchen and a roll-in shower. The home was given to the Kisielewskis at no cost.
A key ceremony, led by president of Homes for Our Troops John Gonsalves and president of Case Design/Remodeling Bruce Case, was attended by the Kisielweskis and over 200 people, many of whom helped in the construction of the home.
Homes for Our Troops is a nonprofit organization aimed at building homes around the nation for injured veterans.
Case Design/Remodeling will continue its “Case Cares” initiatives by remodeling three kitchens in a Falls Church, Va. community this weekend. This effort, which includes installing new cabinets, counters and sinks, will be aided by Christopher Fay, president of HomeStretch, a nonprofit organization that helps homeless families rebuild their lives by offering free and subsidized services.
