Another Truckeroo!
Like most of the district, we can’t get enough of the food trucks. This months Truckeroo is on Friday, August 12th from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Free entry, live music, and the Das Bullpen bar. Does it get any better? 19 food trucks have already signed up, and more are sure to come. Get Into The Groove
Happy birthday Madonna! Celebrate the queen of pop, this Saturday at Town Danceboutique with music and videos all night long at this years Madonnarama. With three decades of hits and remixes, its sure to be an all night birthday bash. There will also be live performances by The Ladies of Town and the Town Dancers. So “Express Yourself” and get “Into The Groove.” Doors open at 10 a.m.
All About The Funk
Calling all hipsters and music enthusiasts. If you haven’t gone already, Saturday is the last night in the Fort Dupont summer concert series. Closing out the summer is the funk band, Mandrill. Formed by three brothers, this unique musical group takes funk and adds a sprinkle of Latin, salsa, rock, blues, and soul. Their songs have been sampled by hip hop acts Kanye West, Eminem, and Public Enemy. So grab a blanket and picnic basket for this free musical event.

Start off Beer Week in luxury. Everybody Was Kung Fu Fighting
Come and see 20 world Wushu-Kungfu champions from China at their greatest, as they show some fierce fighting and mind boggling aerobatics. For the first time ever, the American Wushu-Kungfu Federation and the O-Mei Wushu Kungfu Center present a Kungfu show featuring martial arts seen in blockbusters such as “Fighting Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” Fearless” and “Kung Fu Panda.” The show starts Sunday, 3 p.m., at the George Mason University, Center for the Arts.
