LINCOLN Restaurant to devote an entire month to 16th president’s  birthday.
By Anna Storm

Abraham Lincoln is set to turn the big 2-0-3 next month.

The restaurant itself may be less than a year old, but LINCOLN is committed to pulling off a celebration worthy of its 203-year-old namesake. In honor of Abraham Lincoln’s February birthday, LINCOLN Restaurant is partnering with local Ford’s Theatre and the Virginia-based Catoctin Creek Distilling Company for a month’s worth of special deals and  drinks. In other words:  just what you need to get your President’s Day party started.

Throughout February, a pre and post-dinner menu at LINCOLN will be offered for all of the restaurant’s guests.

But theater-goers will fare even better – patrons  holding a Ford’s Theatre ticket will also  receive a 20% discount at the bar, where they can take advantage of the lowered prices by trying one of two Catoctin Creek specialty cocktails: “Abe’s Catoctin Fizz” (featuring Catoctin rye whisky, citrus, ginger, egg white, and angostura bitters), or “The Bull Run” (Catoctin gin, orange juice, orgeat syrup, and topped with prosecco). In fact go ahead and try both, because you will be drinking for a good cause.

Twenty percent of the total proceeds from these limited-time-only drinks will be awarded to Ford’s Theatre at the end of the month.

A special Abraham Lincoln Birthday Brunch will also be held on the president’s birthday February 12th.

Hosted by DJ Adrian Loving, the all-day affair is scheduled to run from 11am-6pm. Mimosas, Bloody Mary Bowls,  a waffle and omelet station, in addition to the full brunch menu, will all be offered as part of the culinary festivities.

Sounds like the perfect way to say, “Happy Birthday, Mr.

President.”
