A grievous and solemn day for many, last Tuesday marked the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and social media was awash in remembrances. Last week also signified the start of the professional football season as well as a peek into Lady Gaga’s famed meat dress (among the threads of many other acclaimed female rock stars), courtesy of the National Museum of Women in the Arts newest exhibit “Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power.”

Football season kicked off over the weekend featuring an intense game between the Washington Redskins (28) and the St. Louis Rams (31). Though the odds weren’t in favor of the capital’s team during this game, support is what counts so if you watched the game sporting a Redskins jersey or team colors you were good to go.
