For Washington Life’s 2012 November Style Issue fashion editorial, photographers Oriana Layendecker and Luis Aragon joined forces to produce an ethereal wonder land of color and texture. Stylist Stara Pezeshkian pulled together a wardrobe befitting any magical garden with full ball gowns, bright splashes of color and whisper-light fabrics. No location was more ideal than the Moongate Garden, located above the Arthur M. Sackler Gallery of Art, with its meditative setting bordered by lush fall foliage.

Special thanks to the staff of the Smithsonian’s Arthur M. Sackler Gallery of Art for helping to facilitate this production. The Arthur M. Sackler Gallery of Art celebrates 25 years of offering the public an up-close-and-personal opportunity to view Dr. Sackler’s singular collection of art, which includes some of the world’s most important Chinese jades.
