Putting On the Ritz
The return of Ritz-Carlton luxury to Washington at an exclusive new location in the city’s West End
on 22nd Street, NW, between L and M Streets was celebrated with a grand opening/ribbon cutting on
October 11th. Larry King and J.W. Marriott, Jr. officiated with D.C. Deputy Mayor Eric Price; Chris
Jeffries, founding partner of Millennium Partners, developers of the project; and William R. Tiefel,
chairman, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C., were also on hand for the ceremony. The 300-room
hotel offers impressive views of the cityscape, a 100,000 sq. ft. Sports Club/LA fitness center and
spa, and many other unique services and amenities.
