Back to the Future The 7th annual Morris K. Udall Awards celebrated the launch of the Michael J. Fox Foundation forParkinson’s Research through a merger with the Parkinson’s Action Network. For nine years, the Networkhas provided a strong national voice calling for increased public funding of Parkinson’s research and, ultimately, a cure. The Fox Foundation will accelerate the pursuit of this goal through expandededucation and advocacy, as well as a major fundraising campaign. Sen. Connie Mack and Rep. John EdwardPorter were honored this year with the awards for their public service and important policymaking. Udall,a 30-year Congressman and 1976 Democratic presidential candidate, succumbed to Parkinson’s disease in1998. The annual awards honor his distinguished legacy, and dinner proceeds support the crusade toeradicate Parkinson’s forever. Parkinson’s Action Network President: Joan I.
