Rich Leach On June 8th, the Washington chapter of Women in Film and Video (WIFV) paid tribute to women ofoutstanding professional and personal achievement. The 7th annual Women of Vision Awards Gala honoredGwen Ifill, moderator of "Washington Week in Review"; Judith McHale, President and CEO of DiscoveryCommunications; Wendie Malick, actress and star of the NBC hit television series "Just Shoot Me";Roseanne, Emmy-winning actress, talk-show host, and comedienne; and Bonnie Nelson Schwartz, localproducer of film, television, and theater. A special Kodak Women of Vision Award was bestowed upon TipperGore, a respected photographer and wife of Vice President Al Gore. Journalist and 1997 honoree ReneePoussaint was the mistress of ceremonies. All proceeds from the Gala support WIFV’s professionaldevelopment, and educational and community outreach programs.
