Love was in the air at the 29th annivesary Wolf Trap Gala, appropriately designated "An Evening ofRomance." The June 3rd affair began with cocktails and dinner under a tent in Wolf Trap’s Lower Meadow.It was followed by a special concert at the Filene Center where Johnny Mathis serenaded the guests withmost of his romantic ballads. A post-performance champagne and dessert reception followed, with more livemusic and dancing. Funds will go to support the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts’highly-acclaimed education programs, which include their Institute for Learning Through the Arts,scholarship funds, master classes, and internships.
